Refugee aid
Since 2015, Deutsche Post DHL Group has been actively involved in refugee aid and contributed to various relief as well as integration projects throughout Germany.

The Group has been actively lending its support to aid integration projects across Germany since autumn 2015. Our activities focus on projects and programs that foster language acquisition, support refugees in their personal and professional development, offer a vocational perspective and therefore support integration. With a diverse range of activities including interview and job application training, mentoring programs, internship opportunities and language courses, we provide refugees with professional skills and the prospect of employment - whether with Deutsche Post DHL Group or elsewhere.
In order to ensure the quality of our activities, we work together with experienced partners including the German Federal Employment Agency, Joblinge, Teach First Deutschland and Stiftung Lesen to name but a few. The initiative is testament to the voluntary commitment of our employees, who contribute in large numbers throughout Germany as mentors, trainers or reading and language buddies.
We are also part of the UNHCR initiative . The voluntary commitment of over 16,000 employees of the Group pays off. Since the end of 2015, almost 19,600 refugees from Syria, Eritrea and Somalia have gained an insight into the Group. The refugees are employed in the form of jobs, training and internships.
