ESL One

As the global partner of ESL One, DHL is expanding its presence in the esports market. This segment is growing exponentially with millions of fans and active players, reaching the important target group of digital natives with tailored brand messages. Whether it be real-time strategy games such as Dota 2 or tactical shooters such as CS:GO, esports provide viewers with first-class entertainment while demanding a very high level of concentration, speed, tactical skill and teamwork skills from the players. As part of its activities ESL organizes tournaments in all the popular esports disciplines, which are broadcast all over the world via various platforms.

Rugby

DHL has been supporting rugby at various levels around the world for many decades, including supporting behind the scenes with logistics services. In more recent times, DHL has strategically partnered with major events such as  Rugby World Cup (2011, 2015 and now the 2019 edition in Japan), the British & Irish Lions tours to New Zealand and Australia (2005, 2013 and 2017), the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, and Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018 in the USA. Partnerships with the sport also exist at country and club level across the globe, including Ireland, England, Canada and Germany, alongside Harlequins in the UK, the DHL Stormers in South Africa and many others. In 2017, the DHL Oktoberfest 7s, in which DHL was involved as Title Partner, were held for the first time in Munich in parallel to the traditional Oktoberfest celebrations, and garnered both teams and fans from around the world.

FC Bayern München

Boasting no fewer than 290,000 official club members, FC Bayern Munich is the best-supported and, with more than 650 million fans, one of the most popular football clubs in the world. Since 2014, the club with a record number of German league titles has been relying on DHL's expertise in the areas of international logistics and e-commerce not only for the transportation of equipment to away games in the Champions League and to training camps but also for the successful club's global merchandise shipments.

During the annual marketing tour that has taken the club to, among other destinations, Asia and the United States, DHL has, since 2015, transported more than ten tonnes of equipment, including more than 400 kilograms (881 pounds) of boots and more than three tonnes of jerseys alone. In addition, DHL exclusively manages the FC Bayern Online Fan Shop in China.

Manchester United

The historic English football club Manchester United, which was founded in 1878, is one of the biggest, most successful and most popular football clubs in the world - the figures speak for themselves: more than 50 titles and over 659 million fans worldwide.

As its Official Logistics Partner since 2010 (and having been the first club/partner combination to establish a Training Kit Partner relationship), DHL enjoys a close partnership with the club that holds the record for the most Premier League titles and the highest number of English top-flight titles. It is a partnership that is beneficial to both sides. DHL leverages its decades of experience to support the club's logistics needs such as merchandising distribution and shipping of tour equipment, while at the same time leveraging the club's popularity for its own marketing activities globally, including in fan strongholds in Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.

Fashion

DHL is the world's leading provider of logistics for retailers and online sales of fashion, jewelry and lifestyle products. DHL provides comprehensive logistics services and develops customized solutions to meet all challenges that arise in the industry, and tailored to the needs of all target groups, from fashion designers right through to large retailers, from runway shows in the fashion meccas around the world right through to global online retailers.

Gewandhausorchester

Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, which will celebrate its 275th anniversary in 2018, is the world's largest travelling orchestra with 185 musicians. Its concerts are the stuff of legend. During the orchestra's concert tours, DHL, as the Official Logistics Partner, is responsible for ensuring that around six tonnes of freight, including more than one hundred musical instruments, some of which are very valuable, are transported safely and on time from one venue to the next. Using temperature-controlled containers, DHL makes sure that the instruments, some of which are irreplaceable, reach their destination under optimum conditions, whether on the road or in the air, and also handles all customs formalities.

Exhibitionism - The Rolling Stones

"Exhibitionism" is the Rolling Stones' first exhibition. Featuring over 500 unique exhibits from the band's archives, including instruments, legendary stage costumes and band members' tour journals, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey through over 50 years of Rolling Stones history - and by extension through the history of Rock 'n' Roll. Since premiering in  London in 2016, the exhibition has visited New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Nashville, and will travel to Sydney later in 2018. The global tour of the exhibition will have reached at least 12 cities by 2020.

Formula 1

DHL has been the logistics service provider for Formula 1 for more than 35 years and has been the Official Logistics Partner since 2004. In this capacity, DHL ensures that around 2,000 tonnes of freight, including motor vehicles, tires, fuel and also television and broadcasting equipment as well as other equipment, reach the racing circuit on time at the 21 race track venues of the Formula 1 Drivers' Championship.

As a sponsor, DHL also leverages Formula 1 as a marketing platform in order to promote the company's core competency and global efficiency, and to strengthen the DHL brand. Attracting more than 1.7 billion viewers in more than 200 countries, Formula 1 has a unique annual reach and relevance in (motor) racing and enables DHL to showcase its highly-specialized services and the know-how it as developed over several decades in the areas of motor sport and the automotive industry.

As a logistics service provider with a large fleet of its own, DHL will also benefit in the long-term from the significant technical innovation potential in Formula 1 that extends to the automotive industry and enhances the efficiency of road transport. Furthermore, the race series places particularly high demands on logistics. A tight racing calendar with race venues around the world comprising valuable, highly sensitive equipment calls for innovative, customized logistics services. Some of the solutions DHL has developed for Formula 1 are now also being used in other motor racing series and at other global events.

Formula E

DHL has been involved in Formula E as Official Logistics Partner since the establishment of Formula E and has thus contributed to launching the world's first Formula E Championship with electrically powered vehicles. In the Formula E series, which is the brainchild of Jean Todt, the president of the world governing body of motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), ten teams with two drivers and four electric vehicles each, compete against each other on temporary city-center street circuits. As an innovative motor racing series, Formula E has a high sustainability profile and is intended to promote electromobility as a future-oriented alternative to traditionally powered vehicles. As such, DHL's involvement in Formula E highlights the sustainability strategy of the Deutsche Post DHL Group.

WTCR

With the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR; until 2017 World Touring Car Championship/WTCC), DHL is supporting one of the most spectacular international touring car championships. The championship comprises over 30 races in ten countries on four continents, including races on traditional race tracks and street circuits.

The operations and processes involved in running a touring car championship place high demands on logistics. As the Official Logistics Partner with several decades of expertise in motor sport logistics, DHL ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

DR1 DHL Champions Series/ DR 1 Drone Racing

With its involvement in the DHL Champions Series, DHL is a founding member of one of the most innovative new sporting disciplines, drone racing. The championship is decided in six races, which in 2017 were held in locations including the United States, the UK and in Germany around the Post Tower in Bonn. The Champions Series is broadcast by several international TV stations, on the streaming portal Twitch and on Facebook and is expected to reach 300 million viewers in more than 100 countries. In the Series, top-class drone pilots compete against each other in teams of two in a bid to achieve the fastest lap times on predetermined circuits in spectacular natural settings. DHL is supporting the Champions Series organized by DR1 Racing as title sponsor and logistics partner.

WEC

Through the World Endurance Championship (WEC), DHL is also involved in long-distance motor racing. In the six to 24-hour races on renowned race tracks such as Silverstone, Le Mans and Nürburgring, the world's best endurance drivers have to give it their all. The WEC series conveys the spirit of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans to the world.

DHL has been the Official Logistics Partner of the WEC since the racing series was launched in 2012 and is responsible for transporting racing vehicles and equipment to races overseas.

Red Bull Air Race

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship is not just a unique air racing event, it is also the fastest and most exciting air show. The combination of speeds of over 400 km/h, low flying altitude and difficult maneuvers presents challenges that only the very best pilots are able to master.

MotoGP™

DHL's expertise is not confined to racing on four wheels and in the air; the company is also actively involved in motorcycle racing. Since 2015, DHL has been involved as Official Logistics Partner in the legendary MotoGPTM racing series, whose history dates back to 1949, making it the oldest motorsport series in the world. DHL transports 900 individual pieces of equipment, including 80 motorcycles and weighing 370 tonnes, for the teams and the championship organizers to the 19 championship races on four continents.
