DHL Supply Chain Regional Center in Singapore completed
The building was constructed with the Green Mark "Gold" standard under the Building Construction Authority of Singapore.
Construction of the new DHL Supply Chain regional distribution center in Singapore was finalized in July 2015. The facility, located at Tampines Logistics Park, serves to deliver a wide spectrum of innovative logistics solutions at greater operational efficiencies to support the overall growth of the technology, healthcare, automotive and aerospace industries in Singapore.
A garden was planted on the rooftop as plants reduce the overall heat absorption of the building.
In order to fulfill this standard, a number of measures were taken: The canteen was constructed with the aim of maximizing daylight harvesting and T5 lighting in warehouses and offices is controlled by zone to reduce electrical consumption. In addition, low-emissivity glass was used on external windows to reduce heat transfer and optimize the use of heating and cooling installations. A garden was planted on the rooftop as plants reduce the overall heat absorption of the building. Other measures included the use of environmentally friendly construction material and the reduction of noise pollution.
