Deutsche Post and IBM cooperate on E-Postbrief
- Easy integration into Lotus Notes e-mail software
- Lotus users will be able to send and receive the E-Postbrief in the usual IT-environment
Martina Koederitz, General Manager of IBM Germany, and Jürgen Gerdes, Board Member responsible for Mail at Deutsche Post DHL, signing the contract.
IBM is integrating the E-Postbrief from Deutsche Post into its Lotus Notes groupware. In the future, users who want to send written work as an E-Postbrief can send it securely and conveniently right from Lotus Notes. "We are pleased to have gained in IBM such a prominent partner for the E-Postbrief," said Jürgen Gerdes, Board Member responsible for Mail at Deutsche Post DHL.
Lotus Notes is one of the market leaders in business e-mail software. Thanks to the recent integration, employees and administrations that are connected to the E-Postbrief Gateway can send and receive important letters from their customary e-mail programs in a manner that is fast, convenient and secure. It is even possible to send electronic registered letters using the usual e-mail software. According to Gerdes, "The E-Postbrief is becoming a part of everyday business life more and more. Our business customers benefit from its security and convenience without having to leave their accustomed IT environment."
Comprehensive E-Postbrief cooperation
The integration into Lotus Notes is part of a comprehensive E-Postbrief cooperation between IBM and Deutsche Post. Thus, the E-Postbrief can soon be a part of consulting and integration projects that IBM conducts with customers. "The E-Postbrief fits really well with our comprehensive consulting and integration approach," said Martina Koederitz, General Manager of IBM Germany. "Using it saves money, and it integrates and accelerates communications processes. And that is precisely what our customers expect from us."
