Win the fastest midnight express delivery with Weltbild and Deutsche PostAugsburg/Bonn, 10/01/2007, 11:30 AM CEST
There is no shortage of Hogwarts fans eager to be the first to read the new Harry Potter book in German. Anyone ordering the book in advance from Weltbild Verlag will have the chance to get the book delivered by Deutsche Post's fastest night delivery service; racing driver Timo Glock is willing to swap his racing suit for the yellow uniform of Deutsche Post. In the night of October 26 to 27 he will be driving his Porsche Carrera racing car to perform Germany's quickest delivery of the new Harry Potter book to the home of the lucky prize-winner.
To mark the publication of the seventh Harry Potter novel in German on October 27, 2007, Weltbild and Deutsche Post launched a magical campaign - the super-fast midnight delivery by Timo Glock being just a part of it. Deutsche Post mail delivery staff will deliver free of charge to everyone who has placed an overnight order in advance with Weltbild Verlag for the last and final adventure of the schoolboy magician. "The campaign has been sensational so far," explained Karl-Heinz Wellmann, Director of Marketing at Weltbild. "There has been more public response than to any of the earlier books."
Weltbild and Deutsche Post are setting their hopes on the successful campaign for the third time. "With this campaign we are delighted to offer the speed and flexibility of night-time delivery and make the dreams of Harry Potter fans everywhere in Germany come true," said Jürgen Gerdes, member of the Board of Management at Deutsche Post World Net with responsibility for MAIL and PARCEL Germany. On the two previous occasions, in 2003 and 2005, more than 100,000 Harry Potter books had been delivered by mail delivery staff to the waiting fans before dawn.
Anyone who orders the new Harry Potter adventure from Weltbild for overnight delivery by Deutsche Post (www.weltbild.de/harrypotter) will automatically join in the prize draw. You can also send an e-mail until October 24, 2007, 10 pm, with the words "Harry Potter" and your own address to Gewinnspiel@weltbild.com and might be the lucky winner of Germany's fastest overnight delivery.
