Weltbild has already registered countless pre-orders.
Rumors and speculation are still rife as to the magical date on which the seventh - and, according to author Joann K. Rowling, last - volume of the Harry Potter series will appear in German. But one thing is certain: anyone who wants to be among the first readers of the German edition of Harry Potter 7 on the day of its release, must pre-order the book at Weltbild now.For those who do, Deutsche Post night delivery staff will deliver the final Hogwarts adventure straight to their doorstep on the day of publication at witching hour - with no postal charges or additional costs.
Deutsche Post employees are already gearing up to the big event with anticipation. "After the experiences our night delivery staff have made with volumes 5 and 6 they know the prerequisites. We are looking forward to this day with great anticipation and are ready for the logistical challenge once again. Weltbild and its customers can be assured that we will deliver the seventh volume with the necessary speed and greatest possible care," says Rudi Porath, member of the Deutsche Post Brief Deutschland Divisional Board.
"Harry Potter is a cult for bookworms. Among fans, anticipation of Harry Potter and friends' final big adventure grows from book to book - and the seventh volume will almost certainly exceed the surge in sales of previous years", says Carel Halff, Chair of the Weltbild Board of Management. The company has already registered countless pre-orders.
There is still a great deal for Muggels to be excited about: we still do not know the German title of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" nor the exact date when the book will be released nor what the cover will look like nor the price. Anyone who cannot wait to see what will happen next to their hero can keep up to date by subscribing the Harry Potter newsletter at www.weltbild.de/harrypotter. Weltbild.de offers a wide range of products related to the trainee wizard: books, audio books, CDs, DVDs and software.
This will be the third time Weltbild and Deutsche Post are successfully teaming up for this project. In 2003 and 2005, night delivery staff distributed around 100,000 Harry Potter volumes to fans before the break of dawn. This year for the first time Deutsche Post and Weltbild are offering to perform the almost traditional delivery of Harry Potter books at midnight free of charge.
