TÜV Certificate for PackstationBonn, 10/17/2005, 11:30 AM CEST
PACKSTATION, the innovative parcel machine system from DHL, has been certified now according to the international ISO 9001 standard by TÜV Nord for its Quality management system. The TÜV audit confirmed that the PACKSTATION concept systematically and consistently works to meet the customers' demands. Via this system, registered customers can pick up and dispatch parcels, small packets, and merchandise items every day around the clock.
There are currently more than 600 PACKSTATION operating in 90 cities and communities, and they are used by over 300,000 registered customers. Around 50 further locations will be added by the end of 2007.
The parcel machines are ready for use day and night. This makes timing more flexible for customers since they can pick up and dispatch their parcels whenever it is convenient for them. The new parcel service offers advantages particularly to those who work and cannot be reached at home during the day.
"We are proud that we have obtained the certification. It is a milestone for us and an obligation at the same time," said Thea Gleiser, responsible PACKSTATION project manager, when receiving the certificate in Bonn. "The customers and their demands are the most important standards for us. That is why the TÜV certificate is for us confirmation as well as a stimulus to continue to be the worldwide leader in this segment."
