DHL's ePaket can now be quickly and conveniently accessed via eBayBonn, 07/18/2005, 11:30 AM CEST
With DHL's ePaket, item pick-up, and delivery for eBay sellers is even quicker and easier. From now on, ePaket can be accessed and activated directly in the online auction house's shipping center. Until now, this could only be done via the www.efiliale.de online ordering platform.
After the completed auction of an article on eBay, the buyer's and seller's data are transferred to DHL. All that the seller has left to decide is when the item should be picked up and how he or she would like to pay for it. On the pick-up date, the DHL deliverer will bring the correctly filled out packet label with him.
With ePaket, sellers can reserve the parcel's exact home pick-up date up to one month in advance (direct debit payment) and up to five days in advance (credit card payment). DHL handles filling out and affixing the label. Parcels ordered by 8 p.m. can be picked up as soon as the next business day. Parcels may weigh up to 31.5 kg with dimensions of 120 x 60 x 60 cm. Up to five parcels may be ordered simultaneously at DHL's online eFiliale outlets. To add to that, customers can follow the progress of their items via the track & trace service.
