Special "Parcel for Mother's Day" Campaign

After the resounding success of "Free-Parcel Friday" throughout Germany, DHL is once again launching a customer-friendly special campaign. From April 30 to May 4 customers can post Mother's Day gifts to any destination in Germany at any of Deutsche Post's retail outlets for the special rate of EUR 5.00. Parcels can weigh up to 10 kilos and have a maximum size of 120 x 60 x 60 centimeters (rectangular format).
Deutsche Post World Net and its subsidiary DHL want to use this campaign to thank their customers for the trust which millions of them place in them each and every day. Parcels can of course be sent to fathers, brothers and sisters or good friends at the special rate too. Any Postpaket items posted at retail outlets that meet the above-mentioned weight requirements and dimensions will be conveyed for EUR 5.00 - even if the shipment has nothing to do with Mother's Day.
Professor Manfred Harnischfeger, Head of Corporate Communications at Deutsche Post World Net, explains the backdrop to the campaign as follows: "DHL is a strong brand, brands need emotion, and Mother's Day is a very emotional event - from the brand perspective, it is therefore a suitable measure for positioning the parcel delivery with DHL in an ideal way."
