Deutsche Post World Net Mourns the Loss of Günter W. TummBonn, 02/25/2005, 10:30 AM CET
Deutsche Post World Net is saddened by the death of former Board of Management member Günter W. Tumm, who passed away at the age of 66 early Friday. With the death of Günter W. Tumm, the company has lost a long-time colleague who made important contributions towards the transformation of a national government agency into a leading global logistics Group.
Together with Klaus Zumwinkel, Günter W. Tumm had been a member of the first Board of Management at Deutsche Bundespost Postdienst since 1990. He was a member of the Board of Management at Deutsche Post World Net until his retirement in 2000.
Through his extraordinary service, Günter W. Tumm contributed to the creation of one of the world's most modern mail logistics systems and to the reunification of postal services in Germany.
