Einkaufaktuell coming to Munich and Nuremberg
Deutsche Post expands its distribution for regional household advertising
Bonn, 07/12/2005, 11:30 AM CESTDeutsche Post will be launching its winning product EINKAUFAKTUELL in the greater Munich area on September 10th and in the Nuremberg area on October 15th of this year. Once initiated in these areas, this innovative advertising method will reach 1.5 million new households.
EINKAUFAKTUELL combines up to eight inserts from various companies with a free TV program guide, which functions as the main medium. This results in an interesting mix of current household advertising brochures and a TV program, which also offers space for additional advertising.
Due to its popularity among the recipient households, EINKAUFAKTUELL is planned to steadily expand into other areas. With its successful launch two years ago in the metropolitan areas of Hamburg, Hanover and Berlin as well as the Rhine/Main region, and thanks to its expansion into the Rhine/Neckar region, advertisers will soon be able to reach a total of up to 7 million households. Regular panel surveys conducted by the market research company ACNielsen confirm a high delivery quality.
A representative survey of households in the Rhine/Main distribution area in the second quarter of 2005 showed a successful delivery rate of over 90 percent. A representative scope survey conducted by the public opinion group Institut für Demoskopie Allensbach (a public opinion poll institute) in February 2005 to determine the acceptance of EINKAUFAKTUELL in the distribution areas of Hamburg and Rhine/Main demonstrated that some 60 percent of recipients use EINKAUFAKTUELL as a bona fide source of information.
The individual brochures are combined by machine and protected in recyclable plastic wrapping. The brochure pack is delivered on Saturdays by Deutsche Post to the households in the various target regions. Those who do not wish to receive advertisements will be excluded from delivery.
