DHL Supports the Winner of the 2005 ECR Awards
Kaiser Aeroxon optimizes logistics processes with DHL SolutionsBonn, 09/27/2005, 11:30 AM CEST
Together with the Kaiser company and its subsidiary Aeroxon, DHL Solutions has now optimized the logistics processes according to the principles of ECR (Efficient Consumer Response). DHL Solutions will present its customized solutions in a few days at Anuga, the largest food & beverage trade fair in the world (Oct. 08-12, 2005/Cologne).
Together with Kaiser, producer of herbal drops under the brand name "Drei Tannen," Aeroxon and Edeka Minden-Hannover, the change to transport labels according EAN 128 and standardized electronic dispatch notifications was completed.
Aeroxon and Edeka just won the 2005 ECR Award in the category of corporate cooperation for the realization of this concept that was promoted by the Federal Ministry of Economics as part of the Prozeus program.
The ECR Award is the only prize that awards examples of cooperation between companies in the consumer goods industry. It is awarded by GS1 Germany, a company that specializes in these types of business processes, and the ECR D-A-CH initiatives.
"We regularly support our customers with our experience in the area of ECR. That is why we are so happy to have contributed to the success of this logistics modernization concept for our long-term customer Kaiser Aeroxon," explains Frank Schünemann, Director of Consumer Products Europe Central for DHL Solutions.
From the first planning stages to the final changeover to the new logistics concept, DHL Solutions has continually supported its customers. With the use of modern communications and IT technologies on the basis of ECR, the delivery of goods from production to retail will now be accomplished faster and in a more targeted way.
Standardized interfaces between Aeroxon, Edeka, and DHL Solutions are today the basis for a smooth exchange of data and an efficient flow of goods. With the use of EAN 128 transport labels, it is possible to trace the location of the product in the entire supply chain and the shipments can be immediately identified and allocated at the retailer's.
