Majority holding in MailMergeBonn/Wormerveer, 10/12/2005, 11:30 AM CEST
Deutsche Post has taken on the majority of the Dutch mail company MailMerge, headquartered in Wormerveer. With this Deutsche Post, in association with its companies Selekt Mail Nederland, Interlanden, Selektvracht and DHL Global Mail, has become the largest private letter mail service provider in the Netherlands.
MailMerge and the Dutch subsidiary of Deutsche Post have been working closely together since the end of 2003. MailMerge offers customers in Holland comprehensive solutions for business mail and is the largest specialized supplier for delivery to the Dutch postal service's P O boxes. This makes MailMerge the ideal complement to Deutsche Post's service portfolio in Holland, ranging from cross-border mail to unaddressed and addressed delivery through to mail value added services. MailMerge delivers a total of around 40 million letter mail items per year. The company will continue to operate under its highly experienced management and under its own brand in the Netherlands, in association with Deutsche Post.
Deutsche Post is active worldwide in the cross-border letter mail business and is also present in national mail markets, e.g. in the USA, the UK, France, and Spain.
