Address management, printing, dispatch and digital archiving - all from a single sourceHannover, 03/10/2005, 10:30 AM CET
Deutsche Post will be presenting its special system solutions for banks and insurance companies for the very first time at CeBIT. The Deutsche Post address and document management services as well as its printing and dispatch services will take center stage at CeBIT. Its system solutions have been especially developed to meet the needs of specific sectors. The range of services for the financial service sector focuses primarily on solutions that lead to greater efficiency with special regard to data security.
Current customer addresses are the key to accurate mail delivery. Deutsche Post updates addresses for both banks and insurance companies by comparing their data with those in its own relocation database, which culls new addresses from customers' forwarding orders. Considerable demand also comes from banks and insurance companies to enrich their addresses with additional information such as telephone numbers. They also take advantage of the consolidation feature, i.e. the merging of various data pools such as giro account customers and loan customers.
Deutsche Post also has access to over six print centers throughout Germany, where bulk mailers can send their print data instead having to deliver finished letters. Upon request this print data - from bank account statements to benefit notifications - can also be archived in a revision controlled manner once it has been dispatched. The Deutsche Post service portfolio also includes scanning old files and incoming letter mail. The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has certified the digitalization process for all social security records from the regional insurance office Rheinprovinz. The process, which can be utilized by other companies, meets Germany's highest security standards. The generation of Riester pension applications has also been certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000, making sure that customer security needs are met.
