DHL's "China weeks" have begun
Express items to the Middle Kingdom at an extra special rateMunich/Bonn, 06/02/2005, 11:30 AM CEST
With the campaign, the region's market leader is underscoring its strong commitment to Asia's number-one boom country and to the Asia-Pacific growth region as a whole. DHL was just recently named the best express service provider in Asia for the 19th time in a row at the "2005 Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards"; the consumer study "Asia SuperBrands Survey 2005" from Reader's Digest magazine honored DHL with its Platinum Award in the "Air Freight/Express" category.
This is how it works: Customers can order the special offer price for China (plus fuel surcharge) by calling DHL's Service Hotline (from Germany: 01805/ 3 45 22 55) or online at www.dhl.de. A brief written agreement must be signed; those interested can also sign up for the offer at the "transport logistic" trade fair in Munich (May 31 - June 3, 2005) at the DHL stand (Building A5, Stand 201/300).
The business growth in China is a primary focus of the DHL trade fair presence. The China experts of the express and logistics specialist tell visitors all about ways to achieve success in the Middle Kingdom. DHL's Competence Center China is also featured - it supports German companies wishing to invest in the Asia's future key market by offering comprehensive consulting in logistics, business and trade issues.
Operating its own national express network within China, DHL has become the market leader in China's express segment. At the end of 2003, DHL launched a five-year investment program valued at over 273 million US dollars to bolster its infrastructure in China. Over the past years DHL has invested a total of more than 1.4 billion dollars in the region. The company has been active in the Asia-Pacific growth region for over 20 years.
