Deutsche Post Direkt has expanded its customer address updating and enrichment service to include the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. As of August 9 it's now possible to check individual addresses online. Up until now this Internet offer from the Deutsche Post subsidiary has serviced only large address inventories. Together with Albis Zahlungsdienste, operator of the "ClickPay" payment system, Deutsche Post Direkt now offers quick and affordable verification of individual data records.
Known as "Addressfactory Prepaid", this new service instantly tells businesses whether or not an address is correct, if a customer has relocated and how s/he can be contacted by telephone. Imaginary addresses are tagged; undeliverable addresses are recognized immediately. Deutsche Post Direkt compares the information with its postal reference file, which contains more than 95 million addresses. The new product can also check if the bank account provided by the customer matches the given bank routing number. Credit solvency of both business and private customers can also be evaluated in cases of legitimate interest; this information is provided by CEG Creditreform Consumer, KarstadtQuelle Information Services and Bürgel Wirtschaftsinformationen.
No additional software is necessary and there are no monthly fixed costs for the new offer at www.addressfactory-prepaid.de. The novel prepaid system enables a simple and clear settlement of services rendered: users can select a credit balance from 50 up to 250 euros; debited only as per information supplied. The offer is strictly for businesses.
