The victims of the fire disaster in Asunción, the capital of Paraguay, will receive aid from Germany in the next few days. DHL Express is making its global express network available for speeding life-saving materials to the victims of the fire. As soon as Tuesday evening, DHL started out with 23 sets of breathing equipment and 5 infusion pumps on board.
The emergency aid donated by Hamburg businessman Andreas Maske is part of immediate action supported by Paraguay's embassy in Berlin. DHL Express immediately volunteered to join the aid campaign by providing freight capacities free of charge, while avoiding red tape. With its specialist know-how and years of experience in this field, the global market leader in the express and logistics industry guaranteed smooth delivery of the urgently needed aid.
