'"PREMIUM Post," Deutsche Post World Net's group employee newspaper, was named Germany's best employee magazine at the inkom.-Grand Prix of the German Public Relations Society (DPRG) on Friday. The DPRG prize, which was awarded for the 10th time this year, honors outstanding employee newspapers and magazines.
More than 150 agencies and companies took part in the competition, including such renowned companies as Siemens, Lufthansa, Bayer, RAG, HypoVereinsbank and VW. German Economics Minister Wolfgang Clement was the patron of the award.
The jury rated, among other aspects, the newspaper's focus on employees, its straightforward and credible reporting, the target-group-oriented communication of corporate goals, and its emphasis on dialogue. "PREMIUM Post," a monthly publication with a print run of 430,000, impressed the five jury members in all categories.
"Overall, the publication is an excellent newspaper, and it clearly serves as an effective communication instrument in the value creation process at Deutsche Post World Net," the jury said. "The publication keeps the promise that its title makes: premium quality."
The jury said "PREMIUM Post" fulfills the important task of helping employees gain a sense of orientation amid the process of progressive globalization. The jurors also found that it communicated the group's and management's appreciation and empathy for employees.
