Deutsche Post's business customer card is winning over more and more customersBonn, 11/18/2004, 10:30 AM CET
Deutsche Post has just delivered the 500,000th postcard to the advertising agency Pascher + Heinz GmbH (www.Pascher-Heinz.com) in Munich. Deutsche Post's free business customer card is used as a method of payment at retail outlets and when dealing with deliverers, at bulk mail acceptance offices and when placing orders via the internet at www.efiliale.de. Its key benefits are: payment is convenient, quick and secure and there is no need to use cash.
The postcard was introduced in 2001 and is currently being used by more than 265,000 commercial and business customers. You can provide any eligible staff with postcards and you can specify individual daily card limits. A minimum level of revenue is not required. This eases the burden on accounting as there is no longer any need to issue individual receipts. Instead, Deutsche Post debits the amounts directly to the corporate account and the customer avoids having to handle large amounts of cash.
However, those are not the only benefits Deutsche Post offers postcard users. Introductory seminars on how to advertise by mail at Deutsche Post's Direct Marketing Centres, of which there are 30 nationwide, are free of charge for postcard holders. The Centres aim to target small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, by providing personal advice and low-cost seminars on different topics (www.direkt-marketing-center.de).
Commercial customers can obtain postcards at any large retail outlets as well as via the internet at: www.deutschepost.de/postcard, telephone hotline: 01805 5555*
