Zweckform relies on Deutsche Post World Net
Office supplies manufacturer benefits from Group's integrated solutionsBonn, 04/10/2003, 11:30 AM CEST
Everyone knows them, almost everyone uses them: labels and other office material from the company Zweckform. The company, active on the market since 1998 as 'Avery Zweckform' following a joint venture, has been using Deutsche Post World Net since the beginning of the year to supply its customers. Approximately 250,000 parcels containing office supplies leave the warehouse in Feldkirchen, Germany, every year and are fed into the nation-wide delivery system via DHL Express' branch in Aschheim, if necessary also via express delivery. Approximately 30,000 parcels for Austria will be added shortly. Production in Oberlaindern and the accompanying warehouse in Feldkirchen are the largest European sites of Avery Dennison Corp's 'Office Products Europe' division.
Deutsche Post World Net is Avery Zweckform's ideal partner. 'We need to be sure that goods definitely arrive at the specialist shops the following day, even on Saturdays. As well as this, we are a Europe-wide active company, for which a central service provider with European services is ideal,' said Peter Höppler, head of logistics at Office Products Europe GmbH in Germany. He is glad to be using the new brand for express and logistics, DHL, because DHL is rated highly by its customers in other countries and really means quality. The logistical requirements of his company also demand services across all weight categories and deadlines. 'It is Deutsche Post World Net's great strength to be able to offer all of this from a single source.' An extension of the co-operation is already being discussed. Avery Dennison Deutschland GmbH's 'Printer Systems Europe' division in Eching already uses all three of DHL Express' companies. There is incidentally something else connecting the partners: the colour yellow.
