Deutsche Post World Net print campaign awarded "Goldene Viktoria"Bonn, 11/06/2003, 10:30 AM CET
The Verband Deutscher Zeitschriftenverleger (an umbrella organisation of German magazine publishers) has honoured the current print advertising from Deutsche Post World Net as one of the most successful German campaigns. Wolfgang Giehl, responsible for Group advertising and the world-wide branding of Deutsche Post World Net, accepted the "Goldene Viktoria" in Berlin on Wednesday evening.
The jury explained that its choice was based on the persuasive power of the campaign, which Deutsche Post World Net has used "to position itself as the leading logistics service provider". The committee of experts determined that, in contrast to the general trend seen among top brands, both the Group's image as well as its brand value were further boosted. Following Deutsche Post World Net's rise to become one of the top five most valuable German brands in 2002, it was able to improve its standing even further in 2003 and move into fourth place.
"The print media are some of our most important tools in the development of our brand performance", said Group advertising director Giehl. "Thanks to outstanding quality and accurate target group focus, they offer an excellent platform for the sustainable image building of our brands."
