Sticking on postage stamps now belongs to the past for eBay users too. Because members of the eBay community can use STAMPIT, Deutsche Post's PC-franking software to prepare their letters, packages, books, and merchandise items for shipment even faster. After auctions have been successfully closed, the buyers' addresses can be transferred via an online interface from eBay directly into the STAMPIT address book. Whether individual items or entire lines: this PC franking software takes care of addressing and franking in just one step and makes selling over eBay, the worldwide online marketplace, even more effective.
PC Franking is suitability primarily for small and medium-sized companies. But even individual eBay users, who often sell over the Internet auction platform, benefit from the new address book integration. In addition to the STAMPIT software, users only need a standard PC with Internet access and a printer. Postage is purchased beforehand at Postage Point, the virtual postage counter on the Internet, and paid for by direct debit.
Previously, STAMPIT could only be integrated into the Microsoft Office package, but since October of this year, franking can also be done on the Windows versions of StarOffice 7 office suite from Sun Microsystems. In combination with STAMPIT, text documents and spreadsheets can be franked directly in StarOffice 7 with a valid digital postage stamp.
Additional details about STAMPIT, as well as the current version and updates for eBay and StarOffice are available for downloading and free trial of the demo version at www.stampit.de.
