International experts focus on dialogue marketing
SVI, DDV and Horizont hold first European Dialogue DayBonn, 05/14/2003, 11:30 AM CEST
Why is direct customer contact increasingly important? What international direct marketing trends are there? These and other important questions regarding dialogue marketing are the subject of the first European Dialogue Day in Frankfurt am Main and nearby Königstein, Germany. Decision makers from industry and the academic world are meeting there on 14 and 15 May to intensively discuss successful customer dialogue. The organisers of the congress are the Siegfried Vögele Institute (SVI) as a subsidiary of Deutsche Post World Net, the German Direct Marketing Association DDV and the trade journal 'Horizont'.
'The difficult economic situation demands new ways in approaching customers - also at the international level,' said Dr Klaus Zumwinkel. Deutsche Post World Net's Chairman is amongst the top speakers during the first European Dialogue Day. Dr Zumwinkel and other speakers such as Stewart Pearson (C. E. O. of Wunderman, Europe Middle East & Africa) and Jenny Moseley (Chairwoman of U. K. Direct Marketing Association) are discussing European perspectives in dialogue marketing with selected experts of the trade.
One focus of the congress lies on the markets of Eastern Europe, a further emphasis is on comparison of the use of dialogue media in those countries. Trends and innovations in European customer dialogue are also being worked out in case studies and panel discussions. Robert Wientzen (President & CEO of The DMA, New York) is investigating the European market in his presentation 'Thinking about Europe'.
An evening event on 14 May in the Siegfried Vögele Institute in Königstein marks the festive beginning to the first European Dialogue Day. The congress is taking place on 15 May in the Hilton Hotel in Frankfurt am Main.
The European Dialogue Day is to become a fixed institution for the exchange of knowledge regarding the future-orientated subject of direct marketing. The objective is to set up a competence network to further develop dialogue media and methods.
