DHL and Schöffel - together fit for Europe

DHL Express has taken over the Europe-wide logistics for the traditional Bavarian company, Schöffel. The specialist for ski and outdoor clothing is placing its trust in Deutsche Post World Net's express and logistics specialists for dispatching its goods to the retail trade. The business has an annual volume of around 100,000 shipments.
Together with the customer, specialists from DHL Express analysed Schöffel's entire logistics chain. Based on the knowledge gained DHL developed a tailor-made concept for the textile company. 'Our benefit is that thanks to the new DHL we have a much wider product range available, which we can offer to the customer,' said Rolf Spitz, the account manager responsible at DHL Express. Regina Wiedemann, head of dispatch at Schöffel, especially sees the advantage in DHL's convincing logistics concept. 'The solutions with clear, transparent global transport routes have convinced us,' said Ms Wiedemann. 'With DHL's help we are convinced of becoming the Europe-wide number one for ski and outdoor clothing.'
