Bruce A. Edwards was appointed CEO for DHL Supply Chain, Corporate Information Solutions and a Corporate Board member of Deutsche Post AG in March 2008. He is responsible for the global contract logistics operations across the global DHL business and the Corporate Information Solutions business unit which includes the Williams Lea brand, with revenues of more than 13bn EUR.
Previously he held the role of CEO of DHL Exel Supply Chain from March 2007. Before this time, he was Chief Operating Officer of DHL Exel Supply Chain for the Americas and Asia Pacific regions.
Prior to the acquisition of Exel by Deutsche Post World Net in December 2005, Bruce had responsibility for Exel's operations in the Americas and served as a main board member of Exel Plc from November 1999.
Formerly Chief Executive Officer of Exel Americas Contract Logistics businesses, Bruce has overseen the company's expansion into Canada and Latin America and has been in charge of expanding the company's supply chain management offerings in the automotive, chemical, electronics, retail and consumer industries in the Americas.
Before joining Exel in 1989, Bruce spent eight years at Space Center, Inc., a logistics firm based in St. Paul, Minnesota. There, he served as Vice President of the company's Dallas, Houston and Chicago locations.
Bruce is a member of the board of directors for Greif, Inc., a NYSE-listed company, and Ashtead Plc, a U.K.-listed company. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). In addition he is a former board member of the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA).
