DHL Express, Spain
Maria del Carmen Lopez - a sales assistant from DHL Spain found herself on a plane bound for the island of Ibiza when a hospital there suddenly ran out of a critical drug that reduces tumors. Responding to the hospital’s request, DHL Express and Maria leapt into action. She was on the next plane to the island – with the life-saving medication sitting in her lap. She handed it over to the doctors just a few hours later.
DHL Global Forwarding, Senegal
Getting Senegal back on track - Serigne Ndanck Mbaye's interest in logistics began when, as a biologist, he was responsible for the production and the transport of vaccines in sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. It set him on a path that led him to becoming a country manager for DHL Global Forwarding, tasked with turning around the business in Senegal.

Cynthia Aziiba from DHL Supply Chain in Ghana works as a key account manager is working in a male-dominated business. Not only does she drive a forklift, but she’s in charge of a fleet of over 50 vehicles – driven mostly by men. Since taking her position, she has implemented changes that have improved productivity and lowered operational costs. Managing warehouses and transportation is something that she really enjoys.
